  1. I know this isn't a shaft thread, but honestly i'd call KBS like I did. You probably know, but in terms of "stiffness" for the main 3 shafts, it goes KBS Tour -> $-Taper -> C-Taper. The Tour HB is based off of the Tour, so it will play marginally different than the C-Taper with more kick in the low-mid section, rather than being pretty linear. It may make sense to go to the 95X based on how the C-taper plays, but that's just my first thought. The fitters should be able to help you out!
  2. So i've actually seen Jason (The Tour Van) for a driver fit, but he doesn't do swing stuff. Pretty much all equipment, and I hate to band-aid a "crappy" swing with equipment... Just how my brain works. Chasing scratch is hard when you're either banging it right down the middle, or toe hooking/low heel high spinning everything off the tee, but hit fairways, hybrids, irons, wedges, etc. perfectly fine. I think my foundation is really solid, just need a few tweaks and it's so hard for me to video and dial myself in. I know what needs to happen, but doing it is the problem. I know this is WRX and we're all supposed to be elitists haha, just didn't know if anyone local had experience with some of the other PGA guys at Herm, Profectus Golf, Nancy Quarcelino at Gaylord, etc.
  3. Which iron shafts did you fit into? The best thing for me was that I knew I wanted 95g, but wasn't sure on flex. I recently started playing the $-Taper 120 (Stiff) in my irons, and wanted something that would feel pretty similar, but also transition well into my XStiff woods. The Hybrid Proto is supposed to play the same as the Tour, which I know plays a little soft for me. I called the KBS Golf Experience and just asked to speak to a fitter and he was super helpful. S in the irons P-4i, 95g S+ in the 3i, and then my normal X flexes in the woods. Still gives it that similar feel coming from my 4i, but not too different from say a 3w. At least for me. This build came in right at D2 on my SW scale too. Feels great so far.
  4. Thank you! I need to post some pics of my Trad II in the TP Mills thread. Unfortunately have a ton of blades and absolutely love the ming, I just don't "need" it.

  6. Man, my OZ.1i may have a rival. Love that D shape with the top line and two flange lines. SB5?
  7. Anyone here have experience with a driver lesson or two in Nashville? Preferably outside... Never had a lesson in my life, but have been fighting a hook for a few months and am now in the low face/super high spin/high launch realm with my miss. Driver morale is at an all time low. Already started making some changes, but just looking for a few range sessions without shelling out a ton of $. Any recommendations/connections would be greatly appreciated!
  8. If I invented a product that I was very proud of and took pride in, and we "sold out" to a company that I didn't like, you would know how I felt very publicly. Maybe he can't say yet, maybe he can. But his initial post didn't seem to be negative in the slightest.
  9. That's the thing, i'm not "not listening" to anyone. I'm just expressing how I personally see the situation. Do I think this could end very badly? Sure. Do I love LAB and want things to end very positively? Of course. Just keeping some hope alive even if there's no reason to 👍 Time will tell.
  10. I understand the public narrative. Support the guys who are paying us big $$$, etc. but I just think of Bill being more proud of his product than just trying to scheme for more cash. The fact that he went out of his way to address the big supporters of the brand, and then was recalled by corporate seems telling. But what do I know?
  11. No clue on the specifics haha, but just as the "creator", the fact that he trusts in this sale is telling. Seems to be more positive than negative from his POV.
  12. It seems the post has been removed from LAB RATS on facebook... I understand the negativity, but if Bill Presse comes out and says "The new owners are fantastic.", can't we just trust him for a minute until they prove us wrong? I know it's an unpopular opinion, but with the uptick in copies being released from other companies, this was the right time to sell before their sales tank as they wouldn't hold the majority of the market share.
  13. Seems pretty reasonable. If anything, when you go +1/2 over, they use lighter heads, so you could always buy them that long and then have them rebuilt with some tip weights if you want them 100% perfect. Or just request the lighter heads on a +1/4 set and lead tape them until you're content.
  14. Nashboro is pretty solid for what it is. Obviously no range, and plays pretty short, but not bad for the $. Haven't been out there in a while. I've started walking McCabe several nights per week with some buddies and have been pretty impressed too. Greens are super grainy and slow, but you can't ask for much with how much traffic is out there. I never really saw the allure, but I get it now. Need to queue up some rounds at HH too.
  15. You know what, you're right. I just went to the D shaped mallet realm. Haven't seen that Red X in a while...
  16. Insanely soft in my opinion- they feel great. Good feedback, and not overly dull. Pretty much exactly what you'd expect from a deep milled carbon face, and a little more unique than just circular milling. I love that new Catalina, and have been very tempted to pick one up, but i'll probably wait around for one of these 3's if I lean back towards a mallet. Big fan of the mid bend.
  17. I've actually talked about this quite a bit with some buddies. Being the range rat that I am, having to drive 30+ minutes after work just to hit balls, and the only place with lights being Harpeth Valley Golf Center, you're basically SOL on "convenience". I've dreamed of finding a piece of real estate closer to metro Nashville and somehow gather investors to build a practice facility/range almost like Topgolf, but less for entertainment, and more for GOLFERS... Like you mentioned, they have these all throughout Asia. As much as I hate the sudden surge of popularity from a personal standpoint and how it affects me, I think it could help pretty recently saturated city like Nashville, and especially people who are new to the game learn a little before going out on the course. Build it elevated, partially enclosed, and climate controlled to some extent. Parking real estate is easily solved so long as you're okay with building upwards (and the city is okay with it). Essentially have a parking garage underneath the hitting area, and then tons of stacked trackman range bays (100+) up top. Indoor putting lab, chipping greens/bunkers, offer lessons, pro shop for sales/repairs, yearly/monthly memberships, etc. Fairways and Greens in Knoxville is pretty close to what i'm thinking of... it's just finding the real estate and making it convenient. A guy can dream. For example: Then put all the indoor stuff behind the camera man. Could be cool.
  18. Bounty Club too... it's crazy. Hell, i'll have to move from Nashville if I even think about joining somewhere anytime soon. I miss the days back in school where you'd get made fun of for being a golfer. Take me back...
  19. I had a buddy order a T250 4,5 T150 6-P combo set on the 11th as well some GT fairway woods and he got everything in last Friday the 18th from CA->TN. Shipped on the 14th. Pretty standard specs, and he went with the AMT Tour Silver S300's, so maybe that's why it was quick, but still. Guess you never know.
  20. Still nothing on my T250U 3i ordered on the 11th. I did have them change the VF 95X to a KBS Hybrid Proto 95S+, but wouldn't figure that would push it that far back. I'm like a kid on Christmas
