  1. I have a ZX 4i utility that I put a KBS tour hybrid prototype in @ 95x. I play x100’s in my irons and the kbs gives me good height, dispersion, great penetrating flight and I don’t feel like I have to give it everything. Been very happy with it. Did have to add some lead tape to get the feel right, think 4g
  2. I personally prefer more options inside 150° and more of a gap at the top end, but I’m also on the longer side for distance so I rarely have a need for longer clubs off the turf. Dr, 3w, 3H can do everything I need
  3. After playing this past weekend, I was able to get a few times where I had 140-145 and was able to get the ball to fly just about where I expected. I was more conscious of getting through the ball and I think that really helped. May bend it to 47° just for the few added yards
  4. Having played a cobra 3 wood for the last 2 years and with all the rave reviews of the cobra woods in general, it’s interesting to see cobra players with other brands in the bag (specifically taylormade). Are the taylormade fairway woods really that much better than anything else out there?
  5. I’ll have to give that a read, sounds interesting. I have tried moving the ball forward and sadly I tend to pull everything when I do that. Not against testing again
  6. I have not but I think it’s worth a check. I did buy it “new” used so possible it’s off. That’s going to be #1 on the list.
  7. I just bought some lead tape and was planning to try that on the 48 to see if I got any added distance. But if that doesn’t work I’ll probably just go to a 46°, seems like far less work 😂
  8. Yeah looking around it seems the T24 46° wedges are pretty hard to come by. Lotta places want the new retail price for a used one. As much as I want to keep the 48 since I already have it, having to change a shaft/bend loft and so forth doesn’t seem worth it and not looking to have different wedge brands.
  9. Yeah I typically play 1/2-full shaft of offset. Both the Tyne H and my Newport are a full shaft. I’ve seen some ‘19 Phantom X 7.5’s that have the 3 small dots and full length lines on either side and made me curious how I would do with one. Don’t know the offset though. The other issue is I have a lot of face rotation. Would minimal offset be more face balanced? Not sure how that’d perform with how much I open/close the face
  10. Unfortunately I don’t remember my exact spin number since I did my averages over the winter. But I think they were around the mid 9k mark with a pro v1x. Nothing that stuck out to me as being low. Now when I get on the course and it’s 90°+ it does make more sense why they occasionally fly farther
  11. 100% agree, I don’t mind losing 2-3 yards if I can hit 5 shots within a 10 yard circle. It’s when I’m loosing 10-15 yds on any given shot that is concerning.
  12. The Mizuno is the same length but the lie is .5° flatter. The set wedge would occasionally get jumpers to 150+ and I just really don’t want to have to worry about that, but so far I’ve liked everything about the t24 pw except the significant distance loss.
  13. All my numbers are validated with sky track averaging 10 shots. I have longer arms and lots of lag, which could explain it. That was my next thought process. I’m not a huge fan of offset so getting the correct wedge loft may be better. My wedge setup is 52°, 56°, 60°. 128, 114, 100 for yardage. So I’m looking for that 142 number that keeps me at +/- 14 yds per club. I’m not as worried about loft progression with wedges I.e 6° as opposed to 4°. Just want to hit my numbers
  14. Got it, so if I didn’t want the offset I would have had to go with a 46° to bend weak? Yes, they are both the same length. Appear to be same overall weight as well. But as I mentioned in another comment, I think the swing weights are different
  15. Swung weight on the Mizuno is different from my set wedge. Not only is the shaft 2g heavier, it also has a much lighter grip. (Mcc @ 43g I believe, while I play TV midsized @ 65g(?). Definitely have a lot of tinkering to do
  16. While I agree that accuracy is more important, it’s also important to have clubs that have consistent carry numbers. If my 52 goes 128-132, having a pw that goes 132-138 is not an ideal progression for a full swing, especially since it creates an almost 20 yrd gap with my 9iron. 145 is pretty avg for scratch/+ hdcp, and it progresses seamlessly with my other irons/wedges.
  17. I think the original phantom x 5 line has the 3 dots but they didn’t have the slant neck option.. can’t win lol
  18. We’re pretty similar in distance for the PW. I think my avg carry is 142. Ideally I’d like to be around that number since I can take some off a 9 rather than try and muscle a pw. Seems like I need to get the loft checked, and get on a trackman to see what the spin numbers are. I know the set wedge will be less spin simply because it’s 10 yrs old. But be interesting to see how much of a gap. I’ve considered bending to 47° but I don’t know that it would make up the 5-10+ yds. Switching to the x100 may give me a few extra yards if it spins less. And I also think the lie is .5° different with the Mizuno. But can’t imagine that would make such a drastic impact. You’re correct, it is never ending. Once I’m happy with my bag. I see something new and no longer satisfied 😂
  19. That exactly what happened with the Tyne H I bought. Made some insane putts the first few month. 60’, 35’, 25’. But struggled inside 10’. Found a stroke for inside 10’ and started making 90% but they were my 2nd putts since my lag putting was so bad. Now I’m trying to sell it to fund the next “miracle” putter lol I would try the rossie, but I can’t get over the shape. I did try the odyssey eleven 2 falls ago and it was a pretty good putter for me, but was just too flat. So I’m trying to find a middle ground. I’ve seen the Scotty 5.2, and 9.2 and think those would be good options but just can’t stomach the price tags
  20. I’m okay losing bounce, the offset is where I’m not too keen on. But I would think since I’m strengthening the loft, it would open the face and create less offset? would switching to an x100 lower my spin significantly? I know both shafts are very similar in weight, just not sure how much they’d impact spin
  21. I’m left eye dominant, so I feel I can never get the line to match how I set the line on the ball with setting up in the middle of my stance. And trying to move it up causes me to pull everything. My late fall purchase was a Tyne H with a white sight line. I ended up covering it up with electrical tape and I found I wasn’t so fixated on setting up “perfect”. I also found that the horizontal line was to close to the heel on that putter, so I felt extremely uncomfortable with how the putter sat behind the ball and would hit it out of the heel very often.
  22. Dropped the cobra mini for the brnr. Would be interesting to know why. Seems the cobra would give way more options with the new hozel
  23. In terms of gripping the putter, I use to putt with a normal grip but have been left hand low for a long time. When I tuck my right elbow, my stroke is great and I putt well. I’m considering trying out the claw, but need to put a lot of practice into it. I’ve tried super strokes, midsized grips and the thin grips. The thinner ones give me the best feel, so I stick with those. Ive also gone without a sight line almost exclusively. When I practice on the putting green without lining up the putts, I drop long putts, but something about the course gets to me. I’m considering trying a ‘22 phantom x 9.5, but dont know if the long sight line will mess with my head and make me focus on the line rather than speed.
