  1. Been using a set of Vokeys SM10 but decided to pick up a 54 RTZ and it's very good. It has a softer feel imo which I can't decide if I prefer or not but I plan to bag it for the rest of the season but I like it a lot more than the RTX 6 that I tried before.
  2. I have 2 pairs of FJ WeatherSof gloves for the hotter days, 1 for front and 1 for back 9. I've tried Tropicool too and it's great but I am just used to the Weathersof's. Great prices on both though.
  3. Just my experience as I had this same question a few weeks ago. I opted to go in for a fitting last week for my driver and I was skeptical about high end shafts. I ended up buying a Ventus blue 6s velocore+ and it has been my favorite purchase thus far, all my numbers improved across the board. The fitting also told me I needed to play a shorter driver because standard was way too long. I just feel more confident every time I pick up my driver now and actually look forward to using it. I only average 1 round per week and maybe 2-3 range sessions but the ~$350 shaft upgrade on my driver was definitely worth it for me. I still suck, but just a tad less.
  4. I recently purchased HM JPX 925s from a Mizuno dealer and it has the same serial on every club so it's odd you don't have a serial. Also, the whistle like sound you're hearing might be normal. I notice it too when I'm swinging my clubs, almost like a jet is flying by when you swing down fast enough. If you look inside the back of the club (the gaps), there's a "sound bar" (i think that's what they call it) which is what I am assuming is making the whistle sound.
  5. Not the sexiest but it has dramatically improved my shot. I look forward to every hole I can take my driver out.
  6. I have a Tesla 3 and I can easily fit in the trunk my bag (with all clubs in the bag) and a push cart with space to spare.
  7. Jumped on the LAB DF3 hype after gaming Ping Anser. Need to get in the habit of letting the club face square up by itself as it's intended but it's definitely a good change.
  8. I've been wearing the GFore MG4+ and I really like it. Walked 18 this past weekend and my feet were feeling good after. They have these nubs in their sole that definitely make it comfortable. I'm planning to grab a few more pairs during their next big sale, I think they look pretty good and I would wear them casually since they're so comfortable.
  9. I just did this - heat it up a bit, LOTS of solvent and just work the tool slowly. It took me about 30 mins but I wanted to make sure I didn't damage the grip since I intended to reuse it.
  10. I had been playing a Ping G430 Max off the rack and it served me well, but I decided to do a fitting just for fun and ended up walking out with a Qi35 Max paired with a Ventus Velocore+ shaft. I was always skeptical about how much of a difference a shaft could make (especially at $350+), but after a thorough fitting, it was clear the shaft had a bigger impact on my performance than the head itself. I could have just kept the Ping and upgraded the shaft but I fomoed into upgrading everything.
  11. I don’t work for LCAT or LAB., but I’ve worked with a handful of LCAT brands as a contractor/consultant and haven’t seen any go into mass production where quality goes to hell. There’s definitely bad PE out there, but LCAT doesn’t have that track record from my experiences. They respect the current culture of the company and audience and I’m excited to see where they take LAB. Profit is and will now be the #1 priority but I'm optimistic quality and R&D will not take a big hit.
