Social media, YouTube, the internet in general — are all related. The way people consume content has changed. its not just on TV now, it’s on the phone. It’s on the computer. this is only going to increase. the argument that YouTube/Internet golf is not important gets dumber every day.

So funny the people on this thread saying “who is Grant” and yet Scottie Sheffler, Phil, DJ, JT, Josh Allen, Rahm, Finau and many others have chosen to make a long video playing golf with him… but yeah you are on the cutting edge saying “who is Grant Horvat”. Totally. don’t get me wrong it’s not about Grant. but the YouTube format is here to stay

agreed Grant seems like a nice guy but he is annoying. i wouldn’t watch if not for the other people on the video. But every video he has someone interesting (Phil, Rahm, sheffler, Wesley Bryant, etc) so he’s doing something right.

And I'm sure he already is or the next step will be realizing he can do incredible things with the means and influence he's been blessed with. Who isn't going to take his phone call? He has the rest of life to create whatever change he wants to.

Yeah seems like kind of a fake explanation tbh. There must be a deeper story and a strategic decision not to play. Because just not being able to film is not a sufficient reason. Is he going to stop using the restroom also? Just play, man. If this has always been a dream of yours. Nah, he's choosing to distance himself from the PGA Tour. maybe has to do with Wesley's ban also.

Can we also choose the "LPGA tour member"? I can select someone who is injured, for example 😄

I don't understand what your post had to do with mine . . . I am asking mostly in the context of entertainment purposes. The PGA Tour let Annika, Michele Wie, Lexi Thompson and others play in a PGA Tour event, right? We all knew they wouldn't fair well. That wasn't my question.. but thanks for the statistical breakdown I guess?

Is there anything stopping the LPGA from allowing some "Scratch" males to play in some events? Would definitely boost viewership I believe. I think they banned males pretending to be females, but this would obviously be different. The men wouldn't receive prize money but maybe simply some separate prizes like a new car.
