  1. Besides the setup, just letting you know having the club laid off at the top tends to cause the club to kick out on the downswing and swing left. On the other end, across the line tends to cause in to out path.
  2. he wants you to do it earlier so it has time to reach the clubhead. That’s what it all comes down to.
  3. First lesson seemed ok, you were hanging back on rear foot and getting forward on front foot for impact is golf lesson 101. Second lesson I didn’t really follow what he was saying, the coaches overview of the lesson could have been better on his end. Was like a minute of saying nothing really.
  4. yeah, does look shorter but the Dtl one still looks a glancing hit to me. The video is crooked but the butt of his club is in front of the arches of his foot at the top. Add in trying to rotate open and that clubface isn’t closing.
  5. Not a bad swing. I agree I think open face in his swing causing his issues, imo. Got a really short swing and you don't have time to close the face at all. Little to no depth of the butt of club at top of swing. Check out how short your swing is, look at how little your shoulders have turned and your legs compared to Adam Scott at the top. Adam S has way more time to get the face closed and hit whatever shot he wants.
  6. I missed joining the lottery again this year. For some reason ever since last year or so I don't get an email from the masters reminding me to sign up for the lottery. I had got the email reminder for like 10 years prior to that.
  7. wonder how many majors he will end up with? Surprised he hasn't got a US Open yet, his game fits a US Open pretty well.
  8. swinging wayyy too much in to out. That’s your issue.
  9. You are doing what most am’s do. Rolling the lead arm early and it cuts off any wrist hinge. It’s how a swing looks but not what actually happens. Feel butt end of club pointing inside your lead thigh longer in the takeaway. The wrist hinge will come much easier this way and you won’t have to give it max effort.
  10. lol, let's not play games, what else could "the set" of the wrists mean other than 90*. Maybe he means some other arbitrary number like 75*, right lol. here is the thing, you can pretty much put those two groups together. Rolling the forearms with the inside takeaway causes extension of the trail hand (folding back).
  11. It's very easy for me to overdo setting the wrists once I got my forearms correct.
  12. I suppose it's a feel to try but I will say this, people that have inside takeaways are rolling the lead forearm in right off the ball. Probably 99% of them. If you are rolling the lead forearm in, then you will have to feel a massive amount of early setting the wrists right off the ball so it doesn't suck inside too much. On the other hand, if you work on a feel to prevent rotating that lead forearm off the ball, like feeling the butt of the club pointing at your inside thigh longer in the takeaway, you actually don't have to feel much early wrist set. It's actually very easy to overdo setting the wrists when you get the lead forearm right. The clubhead will start doing the opposite and go outside too much.
  13. yeah, that is true. Standing too close can cause EE, just like standing too far away. We just hear more about standing too far away being the issue.
  14. I didn’t create the video, AMG did. Sure, if someone needs to feel a super early wrist set to have something decent, I’m all for that. In the video, they never said the wrists should be fully set by p2, yet I’ve seen that recommended as a checkpoint on here multiple times. That’s extreme to me. Even a full 90 set at p3 isn’t mentioned in the video.
  15. Right, but most of the extreme stuff I’ve seen on the forum is regarding early wrist set. I think it’s a good video and addresses some issues. Haven’t seen much float load advice on the opposite end.
  16. I mean it sounds like a fun time. If I was flying somewhere, I’d probably just book a 1-2 hour lesson one day and same for the next day instead of paying for the 2 day school.
  17. Oh, I know. I’d play a nice course with a caddy if I wanted on course strategy. A caddy can lower your score a good amount on a particular course they caddie everyday.
  18. My thing is, I’ve never been able to take in more changes on my golf swing than what is provided in a 1-2 hour lesson. You have plenty of time to do the drills they want correctly and are able to send a follow up video in the following week/whatever to make sure you are still doing it correctly. Then follow up with another lesson a few weeks later. Spend the 6 grand this way and get more out of it over time. The golf school might be a good little golf getaway or something so if that’s what you want I understand.
  19. I probably wouldn’t buy a 6 grand putter but I might considering we are taking about a circle T with these prices. Those things keep their value or increase so they are more investments unless you are throwing it in the bag without a cover to play. You aren’t going to lose your money. I’m up in the air regarding golf schools. I’ve been a part of them before and prefer 1 on 1. I think some people like them but I’d rather just take the same money and do 1 on 1 lessons over a longer time frame.
  20. Look at Jason Day, all those people saying his old reverse c wasn’t hurting his back. I never really bought into that, was def. part of it along with restricting hip turn. Como got his hips turning more freely which shallowed out the backswing. Also, got him shallowing his arms instead of using his upper body. The hands being a little deeper allowed all those changes to happen.
  21. Yeah, this is a big part of it. Also, I think the backswing might have to be a bit more rounded/shallow, nothing drastic though. Miller, Nicklaus had pretty vertical arm swings and the reverse C shallowed it out.
  22. well don’t wait until you develop issues
