  1. The Saudis are very gullible, and the players have a sense of entitlement.
  2. Agreed. I'm shocked that anyone wants to see them play on the Ryder Cup team. No one is flocking to see them play in Saudi events.
  3. Eric Cole said that it took him too long to get on the PGAT, so he plays every event for as long as it lasts. Frankly, I don't blame him. 🤣 Eric Cole is one of my favorite underdogs to follow; he will need plenty of birdies this week, though.
  4. 100% agreed.^^^^ Scheffler was also right about the media asking, "What's next?" the minute after winning the Claret Jug. He's now taking a little time to enjoy this one, though.
  5. The backend, affectionately known as the mules, the ones that carry the PGAT IMO are playing for jobs or trying to get to the big money at Eastlake. A player's first win and plenty of FedEx points are up for grabs. *Great opportunity with Scheffler in Dallas drinking out of the Claret jug.🤣
  6. Thanks for starting the golf talk well into the tournament. I've long said that most WRXers only watch Majors. And they call this a golf forum. (I kid) 🤣
  7. The media are experts in sensationalism. The media has no problem when it comes to taking things out of context. Scheffler said at his presser that "Family and faith come before golf" The headlines read that "Scheffler hates golf." 🤣 *satire
  8. just looking for where I said golf was the only serious business. To my knowledge, all touring pros give out balls, sign autographs, etc.... What's your point?
  9. Totally agree. And they wonder why athletes are reluctant to speak to the media. Scheffler will learn that the media is not his friend and will go to stock answers like Tiger did.
  10. And just to add more context, Koepka has five major tournaments, and his career as it stands isn't as good as either, IMO>
  11. Golf is a serious game. Most watch to see golf being played at a high level, not to see players yuk it up while trying to win a golf competition. IMO
  12. Yeah, but he's no Grant Horvat. 🤣 *satire
  13. This is more likely to happen. Added kids, more responsibility at home.
  14. I like Spieth as a golfer, but sometimes he's just too exhausting to watch. I root for his return to prominence, but watching him struggle is sad if nothing else.
  15. Totally agree. ^^^ While Hovland and Aberg are great upcoming young players, when I watch them play, I don't think to myself that they're reaping with excitement. I'm still amazed how Scheffler hits it pin high and ten feet to the hole with that atrocious footwork. I'm amazed at how he turned horrific putting into a strength. Scheffler rarely short sides himself, and when he does, his short game is rivaled by none. *SS super power is getting more good looks at birdies than anyone else (and he knows it). Rarely out of the top ten at any tournament. That kind of golf excites me.
  16. Nah, the whiners won't stop until they get Morgan Pressel fired. lol
  17. It seems like Scheffler is appreciated all over the world, except for the fickle fans at GWRX. 😂 British television: "Overall, Sky customers logged 21.2 million viewing hours across the length of the tournament, up 36% YoY, making it the most-watched edition of the Open on Sky ever."
  18. How many majors will Scottie win? Unlimited if he putts like he did at The Open. My goodness, those clutch putts to save par were unbelievable. IMO
  19. LOL! .... We now live in a world where the fickle golf fan finds a fake, scripted, YouTube content creator more exciting than the #1 real golfer in the world. It's called the Twilight Zone. 🤣
  20. Dan Hicks and Mike Tirico, two of the best in the business. IMO
  21. When was this? I shudder to think that AP would do such a thing. Was he banned from that golf course?
  22. WOW! And that's with BORING Scottie Scheffler picking apart Royal Portrush. Guess he wasn't so boring to millions of golf fans. 😂 *As an aside. Scheffler received a standing ovation on Jimmy Falon, for whatever that means.😄
  23. Scheffler was right. People already are asking "What's next," and it's only been 48 hours. 😂
  24. People who find Scheffler boring, find YouTube golf exciting? Common denominator? (I kid)😂
  25. Not a personal attack. Some seem to think that the other tour is more exciting because of the fiery players that they have. I get it. Some find Scheffler boring and find great golf shots monotonous, but others watch golf for that particular reason. Again, no personal attack, but I would be interested in knowing who you find exciting in today's golf players and why.
