What no Birkenstock's? 😀 Yeah I know about living in sandals in the summer when one is a Maricopa county, AZ resident very well. Heck you also have to get shoes for your dog/dogs if you live there. Got to take care of your furry pals paws. It is hysterical to watch a dog wear shoes for the first time but eventually they get used to them.

Those of us that have been hanging out in the Lounge since the beginning or have been a Lounger for a good bit of time know that our Hippie in Phoenix is very comfortable in his own skin. 😀
-
Oh no......the sharing of personal photos in the Lounge is encouraged. 😲
-
Possibly that. I like your thinking.
-
Do be careful that your sprout isn't subject to any electrical charge riding down the road because you went no drawers. Maybe wear rubber soles shoes as a safety precaution.

Which is fine with me. Regardless of starters being in the game or not I still want to see some plays run. I'm ready for some NFL action baby!

A little something to get you excited for the upcoming new NFL season. Some trickery from the 2009 HOF game.

I agree MS about the polymer grips, they do deaden the feeling of the putt. Good call. For me it's rubber and it's hard, but it has to be super tacky. My grip of choice for a good many years has been the Iomic 65. It is hard and with a light soap and water bath each week it will stay tacky for a couple of seasons. And another thing...... I have to use a putter grip that tapers from the top to the bottom. The grips that feature the exact same width, size, circumference from top to bottom are not my cup of tea.

So agree !

Quit it right now Sam. You have exceeded the daily allowed number of Tiger instructional videos in the Lounge. That number is 1 . 😄 I'm like you in that I use a slim putter grip and hold it with light pressure predominantly in my fingers. It is what works best for me. A medium sized Super Stroke putter grip or similar sized grips takes away too much feel IMO.

I so wanted to grab a spy video of this older man's swing on the range this morning and show it to my Lounge mates but I couldn't get the right angle to take the video and also the thought kept coming to me that it wouldn't be correct for me to post his wild and wacky swing online without his permission. Let's see if I can describe in words what the man in the last hitting station on the end swing and appearance was like. The guy was about 5'5". He was wearing heavy gauge blue jeans with a long sleeved shirt. He had on one of those sea going Mariner looking wide brim hats that had a long chin cord that keep getting in his way. His stance - he was bent over so far that his hands on the club were at his knees and his back was almost parallel with the ground at address. His swing - His first move was to drag his hands back quite low to the ground to about waist high. Mini pause. Then he lifted the club abruptly straight up to the sky as far as he could raise his arms. Second mini pause. Then he would finally turn his back to the target while dropping his hands behind this left ear (think Daly). I swear they touched his left ear. On the downswing he threw his hands from the top casting badly and right at impact he fired his right hand over with mega force and kept the club head real low to the ground past impact. He also would let out a lengthy grunt with each shot that I could clearly hear 8 stations away. Most of his shots were thin cruisers that went 100 yards. My lord the old boy had more stops and starts and hitches and bends in a golf swing than I can ever remember seeing. It was quite entertaining getting to watch Captain Smythe of the SS Sea Urchin smack some range balls this morning.

Thank you and thanks for the elaboration coach. That's me...often trying to hit the ball with my shoulders/upper body.

Yesterday it was her fantastic bunker shot. Today it's Charley's swing in slow motion. I always notice how the Pro's heads stay down and behind the ball until way after the arms and hands have passed the impact position. So many of us weekend players do not do this. I had a decent practice session and due to it being not stifling hot I hit balls and practiced short game for 2 and 1/2 hours. I expect the time that I was out on the range this morning will help my game tomorrow.

Does your wife really like the music from those artist's or does she go to the shows just so she can hang with her daughter?

It's an early start for me on this Monday. With the extreme heat wave effecting Asheville as well as the rest of the southeastern US I decided to get in an early practice session. I'm the first one here. Already I've done a bit of short game work and I'm ready to buy my large bucket once the range ball vending machine comes to life at 8 AM. The reconstruction of the Broadmoor golf course (golf course was ruined by the floods caused by hurricane Helene) is progressing nicely with my great friend and golf buddy Jordon in charge of the project . It's currently 73* 80% humidity with dew covered grass. Today is just a practice day but tomorrow I'm playing with Bill and 2 of his golf buddies at Chestnut Mt. We have a fairly early tee time. I bowed out of my regular Tuesday afternoon game at CC of AVL due to the temperatures climbing into the 90's this week.

Only two people can hit that difficult of a bunker shot, Charley Hull and the Lounge's own @chisag. 😀 That distance from that stance? Are you kidding me?

I will pass your compliment along to the bake shop. "hey some guy 2,763 miles away said nice job on the wedding cake."
-
"Elite punch-out game." 😅 Thanks for the early morning laugh MS.

And all of the regulars in this group feel exactly the same way MS. Add up how many decades all of the Lounger's have been in the game and it would be an impressive number. We are all so pationate about golf. What a fine group to hang online with.

Again the Miami in the man shows up. Why did you do a few lines while playing in such oppressive heat?
