Lunch on Friday. Today is the busiest day on the course so far this summer. I'm a happy man because key lime pie is my favorite dessert.
-
Thanks BC. Been in the game a long time.

@mshills I'm curious was Bojangles around when you were at Clemson? I believe they have the best biscuits in the Carolinas. A member brought a few dozen for the staff this morning. Sometimes I do mustard and other times it's honey.

You are a man that doesn't sit still sir. Cheers to you living your best retired life. That looks like a dandy course you and your golf buddies traveled to. Glad you had a fun golf trip. Thanks for sharing your recap and the nice photos. Looking good DLR. The lady of the house sure snagged a handsome husband.

It's a first. Today is the first day with the Stimp reading over 13 this summer. Yikes! Thank goodness it was only 11.2 when I played yesterday. @Double Mocha Man Here's your weekly ivy photo.

Last minute change to the starting line up. When I got to the course I learned that Nicolas was too tired after working his shift running the Junior Club Championship and Mr S the caddie got a last minute loop so both were not going to play. I was suddenly a single. I rolled some putts and then got in my cart ready to drive to the first tee when a member called out, "Hey Lawrence are you playing by yourself? " Yes Doc was my answer. "Would you like to play with Mr X and me?" It would be my pleasure. Dr E and I have been trying to play together for over a year but he lives in Charlotte and we have quite different schedules. 81* Partly Cloudy 55% humidity 10-15 mph winds I hit my approach wedge to 3 feet on #1 and opened with a birdie. I made a second birdie on the Par 5 7th. 3 bogeys and two birdies and 4 pars on the front. I made the turn at +1. I got a little tired on the back 9 because I was playing on back to back days and had climbed plenty of hills playing CCA . 5 bogeys and the rest pars on the back 9. I ended with a +6 76 and was pleased. I was more consistent today compared to yesterday. It was great to finally play with the Doctor. Doc uses a rather old Scotty Phantom X and it has a nice worn look to its finish. The thing is a monster. It's a good bit bigger than my Odyssey.

@Double Mocha Man From this afternoon, some of the fans on the course. All were blowing briskly and oscillating.

Poor Cleveland. 😄

Yesterday thunderstorms were all around us but none of them ever came overhead and disrupted our round. The high temp only hit 82* so the heat didn't effect me nearly as much as it has during the last 3-4 rounds that I've played. I had an absolute blast competing in the Rematch even though I had a few bad holes. This afternoon I am playing with an assistant pro and a caddie where I work. Again the temperature will stay in the low 80's and there is no chance of any storms. I'm grateful for the better weather this week for my two rounds of golf.

Yesterday I played the CC of Asheville and this young wild turkey was just off of the tee box on #3. -
Clutch putt by Mrs NCL in the playoff for the win! ⭐ Fine stuff indeed. Please tell the lady of the house that LP says congratulations. Sounds like you had a nice 3 week getaway. Did you say hello to the Great Lake State for this old guy? Happy mowing.

No oppressive heat this afternoon and that's a welcome change. 80* and partly cloudy. Now if only the afternoon storms will stay clear CC of A. It's the rematch. Our first shots take to the air at 2:30.

The joint left on the tee box for the groups behind to hit (the doobie not the golf ball) when they arrive to play that hole is pretty cool. I hadn't heard of such a system. You have a good number of stoners at your club if that's happening. I'm the only golfer in my group of golfing friends who smokes a little ganga when playing golf, most of the others drink beer.
-
No issues or worries whatsoever here. Out of all the places I have lived this area has by far the least amount of police presence. I am quite reserved with my use of it when out and about. I am like MS in that I never smoke in my car. For me it's at home, out on the golf course, or in someone's backyard for a get together. I also make sure I have come down a good bit before I drive. I carry Visine everywhere I go to lessen the automatic "he's stoned" look of red eyes.

And the hippies blend in nicely with the damn Punk Rock heads in here!

Bad a** blue Penguin sport shirt there mister! Cheers to your joy. 🍻

I can see you running a big brick of it in the back of your new P car quarterly once you get it. 😄

Recreational green is not legal in NC Triple Lindy. It's just that I live in hippie and artsy Asheville where 50% of the population gets high so the sources here are pretty much offering the packages and flowers from other places where it is legal. I doubt anyone here is getting busted for a small possession like they could in TX.

It's sad for those who partake in the Lone Start State TL, and ya'll's state government ain't budging one bit anytime soon. My Lord it's 2025 people.

Rather than go out in the heat and practice I decided to spend some time this afternoon on my practice putting mat indoors. Doing this should help me tomorrow for the "Rematch" at CCA. There is a 50% chance for afternoon storms so I have to be ready once again for a weather interruption. Let's hope the storms if they do happen don't put a premature end to our round like they did last week.

You are on to something there MS. You need to search out a strain that enhances your game not makes you feel uncomfortable. When I go shopping for green I get three different strains that serve three different purposes. For golf I look for a low to medium low THC content. I also make sure it is an indica dominant strain. I say sample a few spices and I bet you find something that is better than what you currently have. Another tip, on extremely hot days I quite often leave the joint in the golf bag. I've found that getting baked in the heat while playing can add to the sluggishness that you are already getting from the hot air you are playing in.
-
For me it's 2 or 3 puffs on each 9 and I am walking a good distance from my playing partner's when it's ignition time so not to bother them with the pungent smell. I play better lightly stoned. I'm more relaxed and it improves my focus and concentration.
