  1. Quick question. Is the sole width, etc the same in both models or is the low bounce sole different in SM10. Thank you. Pics welcome if you have them.
  2. I did. I was way too inconsistent with it as summer went along. Great wedge but I subconsciously had sm10 in my head I think.
  3. I ended upgoing with a 58s (bent to 57/09) with the wedgeworks smooth grind option. I do not care for ribbons on the sole. I also have a 54/12d (bent to 53/11) with the wedgeworks smooth grind and its so different than stock. I love it with the smooth grind, just glides thru the turf. Here's a picture of the smooth grind D on left and stock D on right.
  4. After seeing a full comprehensive fitting earlier this year with a close friend (I got to attend and watch the whole thing - 2 sessions) here is what I observed: 1. Fitter should ask what you are hoping to accomplish, goals, etc. 2. You hit your own gear to get a baseline. Data captured 3. Fitter might ask what you have in mind as far as brand, model. 4. You hit those if available. Based on Trackman data fitter will throw different shafts in there. 5. Fitter might then branch out to different brands, designs, etc based on what is happening with shot shapes, patterns, data. 6. You and fitter start to narrow it down on data and likes. 7. Fitter can measure anything but feel. If feel isnt important to you, go data and results over sexy and shiny. 8. If feel is super important to you, Then be prepared to sacrifice if best feel doesnt = best data and performance. My close friend isnt big on feel and went with best data for their fitting. He is very analytical, and data driven in real life. G luck sir.
  5. I'm headed to A+ in the 60 (bent to 61) made from M grind.
  6. Not much in the feel department to me. The raw does feel softer and super solid. Feel is so subjective. I almost went with d smooth grind in 58 based on my love of the 54. After hitting stock s I ordered wedge works s smooth grind!
  7. I take my driver when we car shop. If it goes in sideways in the trunk/hatch then we may proceed.
  8. The wedge works D on the L. Stock D on R. Makes a huge difference for me.
  9. Well, I finally bit the bullet and ordered a 54/12d grind. Bent to 53/11 with the smooth grind line option. Had it inside of 2 weeks and I wanted to share a bit. I love this thing. Its so different than a stock D to me. Way more playable. Ive been missing my goto 85yd 3/4 shot with that club - used to be a real weapon for this amateur. I got to use it Sunday for the first time. Par 5 laid up to 88yds and had this in hand for my approach. I must have been amped as I hit it on the screws and it flew the green! Nice flight, divot, center ball mark. (Was able to get a sandy though for par) Today had it at Miles of Golf and hit a dozen or so shots between 86-88 yds with ease. Could have thrown a blanket over them really. I know its extra cash to have them do the work - but we all spend tons on the other end of the bag TBH, why not here. I couldnt be happier with the club and the work done. I will upload a picture or 2 here in a minute. Ive also just ordered a 58/10s (bent to 57/09) with smooth grind lines. I do not care for ribbons on soles. Nice work wedgeworks!
  10. My 2 favorite Mizuno sets of all time are the MP53 and the MX200.
  11. I lol'd Most of my local tracks in SW Ohio follow this rule as well.
  12. IMHO the S doesnt get the credit it deserves to be honest. Its versatile option that often (IMHO) gets overlooked for some of the more exotics in the lineups. Im leaning hard to replacing my D grind here as it (D) can feel clunky at times in thicker stuff in SW Ohio.
  13. Thank you. I'm like you but in reverse I always migrate back to vokey.
  14. Anyone playing this loft/grind combo and if so thoughts? What conditions do you use it, etc Thank you
  15. I forgot to add I am using the TP5 with the striping on them. I initially didnt think I would like them, but gotta say on short and mid range putts (to about 15ft) I use the stripe for my put line. Outside of that range, I dont use the line and focus more on lag speed control. The line has been beneficial for me and Ive made some putts and had more lipouts than ever. Im a fan.
  16. Since I like my T at 61* other than sq face I'm leaning on M to V at 61/9. Sq face bounce and ability to open face as well. Also, my 58d (bent to 57) is great but the ribbon sticks on me at times. Might have to get that one smooth grind.
  17. JT grind. Never heard of it. Off to search lol
  18. I asked about S to V and they don't do that. Only M to V. So that M to A+ has heel relief and toe relief to open the face?
  19. So having just gotten my 54d (bent to 53) with smooth grind lines Im enthralled about these wedges. Has anyone gotten a M grind and had them made into a V? Wedgeworks told me that is an option (im lefty so no V for me) so if anyone has this please share. @CallawayLefty Thank you
  20. Thats a good starting point. Id try 2 of those 3. I prefer irons that I can get on with when it comes to front to back dispersion. No hot spots or erratic yardages. Ive gamed my Srixon 565/765 combos since they came out because of this - I know how far they go when I hit the shot. Predictable and accurate. You might consider a Srixon combo - Ive always thought they play more forgiving that what the series is (7 is more 'players' but is super forgiving in my hands while the 4 series looks clunky to me and I struggle). Im a fan of the V sole too. Works for me. Titleist are also great, Ive hit them. Worthy of testing. Might I also suggest Mizuno hot metal and/or hot metal pro. I have a pro 4i that I LOVE. I look forward to pulling that one out of the bag lol. Never been a Ping guy but I cannot refute the brand and performance. G luck!
  21. She is here and she is a beaut! SM10 54d (bent to 53) with smooth grind lines. They really did a good job with the polishing can barely see the OG grind and ribbon. Maiden voyage sunday 8am EST and one of Cincy's nicer tracks.
  22. Im very intrigued by the TM lineup. I use an Odyssey Microhinge now. Was at PGA SS in Plano TX over the weekend and picked up a TM and started making everything on the practice green lol. I forgot to take a damn pic and now I cant remember what it was. It had 0 dangle angle though, that much I know. Im intrigued.
  23. Thanks. Im coming up on that mark. Im sure it will be soon. Cant wait.
