Haha I remember one tour day, I'd been sitting in a venue in Ft Wayne for HOURS and I called Leah all "Why am I sitting in this cursed dump in the midwest? What did I do in life to deserve this fate?" ... then like a few hours later "BABY! IT WAS AN AMAZING SHOW!" 😂

Everything about getting to the point of playing a gig is awful. Every bit of it. Then for those like ... ~60mins, it's all worth it.

Fun fact is that who I listen to the most is ... Gram Parsons. To me, punk rock has always been about making an uncomfortable statement. When I was like 16 or so; I was leaving lunch in high school when the "weird girl" came up to me and handed me Bad Religion's "Stranger Than Fiction" CD and was all "Listen to this." To this day - and we're still friends - I dunno why she did that. Got in my car after school, popped it in my lil Discman mounted on the lil bit that did its best to prevent skipping and this happened. I was a lil Ashworth wearing golf nerd i rural NC ffs. But ... that tune got me. If there's any tune I can say changed my life - it's that one.

My pal Danny decided to split this world tonight. He was one of the most amazing musicians I've ever known. And I've known a lot. I'm really tired of saying goodbye to friends. Take a moment sometimes and tell your pals you love them. Might come a day you can't.

Imma say it ... Scottie is on track to be the modern Jack. Jack had his moments but by and large, he won by just playing better golf than anyone else. Scottie didn't do anything especially extraordinary other than just play far better golf than anyone else in the field.

Having done time in CCDC, LA's Twin Towers and some can in the San Fernando Valley ... it's not that bad behind the wall.
