  1. I’ve never been fit into a club that I bought and kept more than a month or so. A fitting should stick. I’ve never experienced that. All the clubs that stuck with me. I’ve found myself.
  2. Another note I’ll make. I agree with most of fitting is incredibly important for confidence and consistency. Where I’ll depart. I’ve yet to be fitted by ANYONE successfully in one trip. , which includes titleist reps , a callaway tour van rep …and countless box store amateurs. And none of the clubs in my bag came from them. ALL save for the putter were self fitted via trial and error. Or in some cases just dumb luck. Buy a club and hit it great first swing. As in case of my 4 wood. I’ve hit it on monitor vs everything you can name and it’s never been challenged. I hit it straighter. Farther and higher than anything I test. My point ? I don’t know. I don’t have good luck with fitters. Time is always an issue. I have a bag full of clubs that won’t be changing. Best wedges I’ve ever owned. Yadda yadda. And I fit myself over years of trial and error. ( disclaimer - forking driver can go at any moment. I’ve never loved a driver long. And I may add a 7-9 wood if I find the right one in favor of dropping the strong 3 wood. 😜)
  3. This x 10k. It’s exactly same as why gift cards at most places used to have an expiration. You can never balance the books until it’s used. You can’t explain this to people. Most don’t even balance a checkbook anymore. ( which is absolute insanity to me ). My wife just had this argument ( she’s an in house accountant for a large surgery practice) to her office manager who wanted to change their accounting software for a “ better deal “. She pitched a bloody fit and ended up having to put him to the partners because the system he wanted to go to gave her no option to balance daily. She said it worked off “ trust me bro “ mentality. She won because that practice once suffers a $12 mil embezzlement episode …. Because the cash wasn’t being accounted for. For years. My wife caught the lady and swapped their system to one where individual tills are counted and certified daily , and then a report run with those inputs to account for the cash etc. all tapes match or we don’t go home type thing. Anyway. I get exactly what you mean. It’s a chain business . They are selling lessons. No different than selling anything else. The idea is to clear profit. Can’t do it while building a mountain of liability.
  4. If you were scratch as a kid , and you have no disabilities now. Then it’s still in there. Be patient track stats. And then work on the deficiencies. Try to stay off the internet and out of rabbit holes. Play some up tees and remind yourself how to score.
  5. First off. Lucky bast-ian , of hope , you are. 🤣. Most of us fondly remember the days of daily balls and 3 times a week play. no. It’s not too much. Just always hit each ball with a goal. Even if the goal is simply a slow motion move to perfect your backing for instance. Don’t just rake balls and fire. That does NOTHING good.
  6. Does any of this talk have to do with body type ? Meaning. Is the right tilt to help shallow a tall guy or long torso thing ?-vs not so much for average height ? I’ve been wondering about this very thing. I’m 6/3. Long legs . And the right tilt seems so intuitive to me IF I’m getting a good post up on my lead leg at impact. If I’m sliding / driving legs to the target. Then it’s not so much necessary. It’s exactly like I can’t reach the ball if I post up and really release it , unless I tilt some. What is the preferred combo there ?
  7. But close. Sometimes my special powers are cloudy. 🤣
  8. So far so good. Getting a little help from lee.
  9. Dang. If Woad makes that birdie putt on 18 I bet it’s enough. Just have a feeling we may see a playoff now.
  10. Good. It’s not just me. I deal in an industry with loads of jargon. But for the life of me I can’t keep it all straight. I can’t find a logical pattern to the terms.

I too am kicking myself for not buying a new set from Marc at yourtourcollection.com when he was selling Vijays brand new leftovers for $300 several years ago. Wish I could help , good luck on the hunt. Jack. \n"}]
