  1. I gave it until about halfway through. Every time someone says 'natural swing' or some derivative of it a golf fairy dies.
  2. It isn't. The two moves work perfectly fine together. In fact, Cast A often means this move happens as an extension of it.
  3. Like the other guys, really. I do, however, see great value in slower swings whilst implementing changes. Slower being, say, 50% of your normal speed.
  4. He did, but he also taught passive arms, which isn't a thing.
  5. Yeah, good video. This is why 2D is so misleading, and actual measured data in 3D dispels myths. Thanks for posting.
  6. It sounds to me like you're getting mixed up with process focus and result focus, and that's a recipe for confusion, not really progressing and ending up with more problems down the line. You don't want to change because you're currently hitting the ball okay, but that's going to be temporary with the move you're putting on it. At some point you're going to need a new compensation or you're going to have to bite the bullet and make a better, more efficient, move.
  7. Apart from the obvious of looking at your stats to see where your weaknesses are, I'm afraid the answer is nearly always that your swing is the limiter. If you're not willing to change it to address that limit you're gonna have to resort to cheating.
  8. That's why we read the small print, dude.
  9. It was actually those videos with him that made me realise you had what I needed. I'll always be grateful to Brendon for that.
  10. Yeah, for my money I'd be just biting it and using Monte or Iacas.
  11. It's so important. None of us is Keegan Bradley, after all.
  12. Agreed. It's terrible posture. Nothing at all balanced about it.
  13. I hope your takeaway is synced.
  14. Nobody can make that decision but you, but just be careful that you don't fall for the sunk cost fallacy.
  15. A phone call. An in person meeting. Anything. Whether he's S&T or not, it's essential to know what the teacher believes.
  16. Good players might say that the purpose of the takeaway is to correctly sequence the swing.
  17. Bottom line: if you don't have an effective swing from left arm parallel that allows you to hit any club in the bag solidly you don't have a functional swing. However, if you do tighten things up and get to a pretty neutral position at P3 everything else becomes exponentially easier. This is why so many of us religiously suggest working on P3 swings. I've said it hundreds of times, but the backswing from P3 to P4 will feel like nothing more than a small shoulder turn of a couple of inches, but that's only true if you've set that up by being efficient to P3. As @Valtiel said, you would have a really tough time playing golf from your P3 whereas Adam Scott would probably break par from his.
  18. That's my life at the mo. Soft foods. Soup for weeks.
  19. How are we supposed to decide what is or isn't bunk now?
  20. Yeah, that's pretty much how I do it once I have a good feel for it. As long as I see the change on video I'll stick with that. I'll only slow it down or add more reps to the drill if it's not sticking.
