  1. Being lefty playing righty isn't important. I don't have any of these issues playing the wrong way around. You just need to learn to shift, turn, shift, turn. You've proven that you can shift, all you need now is to do it in the correct sequence.
  2. Ah, good point. Still, that pelvis is going to have a bigger impact than any shrugging.
  3. Good little video on the difference being aligned makes.
  4. Yeah, based on this, I'd work on your pelvis movement, OP, rather than looking for some shoulder issue.
  5. I'd address setup first. You're a bit too straight up and down with the lower body which is bringing your hands too close to your thighs at address. Setup should give the impression that you're ready to perform a dynamic move. Do you look like you're going to dive into a pool or watch someone from the side?
  6. I was referring to your right elbow. I have no idea if it is a factor, but thought it might. Actually, I didn't think about it at all - I just blurted it out! Feel free to ignore me. :)
  7. I should have asked. That's a decent amount of loft.
  8. I used to take various clubs to our par 3 course and try and hold greens using this principle. You get some looks hitting a 4 iron on a 100 yard par three!
  9. The first pro I ever saw gave me this lesson. I wish it didn't take me 30 years to learn it.
  10. Looks like your hypermobility could be a factor there too, Ray.
  11. I'm pretty sure that you need more loft on your driver to begin with.
  12. Also in this range, and I agree that @getitdaily's analysis is accurate. For me, I get lots of opportunities in the 20 foot range, but I'm trying not to three putt them rather than making them. Edit: most of my birdies come from chips, which is mad, but I feel like I can make anything around the green and nothing on it.
  13. Lots of good things happening in your swing, fella. Hard to really tell what's happening from these, but lots of it looks solid. Some potential issues that I see @Valtiel brought up, but hard to see how they match up without video. Obviously you make them work for you because you're a plus. The good thing is that there's room to be better, which I'd be excited about.
  14. It's an illusion. I look pretty much like that - maybe 5* more angle - but I'm doing it very actively off the ball to get there. It doesn't look early because it's married with the turn and shift. The problem occurs when a players actively stops the wrists setting and they look like that at P4.
  15. I don't disagree, but that's a different problem with a slightly different solution. Yes, the majority of late setters are also forearm rollers, but we were, I think, talking about float loaders? I disagree that it's easy to overdo setting the wrists. The only way to do that is to set them before you begin to move rather than as you move.
  16. Okay, I can see how that can be misinterpreted. I do not think the wrists should be fully set at p2 unless that doesn't cause you a problem later. I think that the majority of people should be thinking about setting their wrists straight off the ball because the amount of time it takes to get to P2/P3 is so small. It's a prescription for the late setters. I often post in a rush and fail to read properly. I'll try to be more careful.
  17. Yeah, our little island can hide up in one corner of it. That's insane to me.
  18. Agreed. I've never seen anyone recommend them being fully set by P2. P3ish, yes, but not P2.
